The Guesthouse's World: The Forest
The Forest represents the extraordinary novelty of the Villa, open to the public for the first time in three hundred years, extending the complex from the Guesthouse to the Chapel of the Rotonda.
The work carried out in the new Forest, funded by the PNRR for Historical Parks and Gardens, followed fundamental principles related to nature care, the enhancement of new green spaces, accessibility and inclusion, biodiversity, and multimedia spaces, making it unique and universally accessible.
How to visit the new Forest
Explore the Forest on your own
We have created four paths for all tastes!
Green Path: dedicated to the plants and essences of the Forest; Lavender Path: a walk among flowers and butterflies; Yellow Path: easy and fun, for everyone; Magenta Path: designed for art and history enthusiasts.
All paths include three multimedia installations: inside the magnificent 18th-century Pagoda, recently restored, you will enjoy a 4-minute projection, crafted within the frescoed spaces; the Nest is a structure that takes you towards the sky, with the sounds of the Forest and a view that embraces the entire Valley of Silence; the Stump, where you can listen to its various instruments, whose construction dates back to the same period as the old Ceppaia’s circles.
All points of interest include a written explanation, but we thought of creating an app to make the experience more innovative and accessible to everyone.
