Guesthouse's world: the Forest
The Forest is the most extraordinary new addition to the Villa, open to the public for the first time in three hundred years, extending the estate from the Foresteria to the Rotonda Chapel.
The restoration work in the new Forest, funded by the PNRR Parks and Historic Gardens program, has followed key principles centered on nature conservation, the valorisation of green spaces, accessibility and inclusion, biodiversity, and interaction through multimedia spaces, making it a unique and universally accessible experience.
The Forest is open everyday from 10AM to 6PM
Entrance from Via dei Nani, 8.
From Wednesday to Sunday it is possible to enter also from Via della Rotonda, 34 on foot and also by car.
How to visit the Forest
Visit the Forest independently
We’ve created four trails to suit every taste!
Green trail: dedicated to the plants and essences of the Forest; Lavender trail: a walk among flowers and butterflies; Yellow trail: easy and fun, perfect for everyone; Magenta trail: designed for art and history enthusiasts.
All trails include three multimedia installations:
Inside the magnificent 18th-century Pagoda, recently restored, you’ll enjoy a 4-minute projection seamlessly integrated into the frescoed spaces; the Nest is a structure that lifts you toward the sky, immersing you in the sounds of the Forest with a breathtaking view over the Valletta del Silenzio; the Log allows you to listen to sounds from different instruments, crafted at the same time as the rings of the old Ceppaia.
Each point of interest features a written explanation, but we have also designed an App to make the experience even more innovative and accessible for everyone.
